Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>World Vision Eswatini ended teaching under trees and using benches as desks at Endzaleni Primary School.<\/b><\/p>\n

For years, Endzaleni Primary School, located at Sigcineni, was struggling with poor hygiene and sanitation, lack of proper teaching equipment and the learning environment in summary was just not conducive for the 164 children going to this primary school.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur children would do their number 1 and 2 without privacy because our toilets did not have doors, we did not have desks and used benches to teach, during exams, we would take some of our learners to teach them under trees because the desks we had were too big, hence occupying a lot of space\u201d, said Dudu Thwala, a teacher from Endzaleni Primary.<\/p>\n

She further explained how reaching out to World Vision has completely revamped the learning environment for the children at Endzaleni Primary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t even know where to start, World Vision has been our mother and father. Since 2021, we have seen this school become an ideal learning environment\u201d, Thwala said beaming with pride.<\/p>\n

According to Thwala they now have four bins for learners to dispose of waste placed all over the school, and their toilets now have durable metal doors.<\/p>\n

Thwala further said their children don\u2019t have to learn under trees anymore because the 40 desks that World Vision donated are big, and no teacher is using benches as a teaching tool.<\/p>\n

\u201cI could go on and on really, but this organisation really has changed the lives of these children. Plus, these freshly-painted buildings are all World Vision\u2019s courtesy\u201d, she said.<\/p>\n

World Vision is committed to helping children enjoy life in all its fullness. Everything World Vision does is focused on one goal: the sustained well-being of children, especially the most vulnerable.<\/p>\n
