Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Mandela Washington Fellowship will bring up to 700 young leaders to the United States in the summer of 2024 for a comprehensive executive-style program that is designed to build skills and empower Fellows to lead in their respective sectors and communities.<\/b><\/p>\n

This was announced by the United States of America (USA) Embassy.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttention young African leaders, the YALI 2024 application will open on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. You may apply to one of 3 tracks: Business, Civic Engagement, or Public Management. View eligibility info and the timeline: https:\/\/www.mandelawashingtonfellowship.org\/apply\/ U.S. Department of State, Exchange Programs \u2013 U.S. Department of State,\u201d read the announcement on the Embassy\u2019s page.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile an alumni said the programme had been good for her and her career.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Fellowship has been a life-changing experience for me. As a result of the Fellowship, I have built very strong networks with Africans and Americans. I have renewed confidence and determination to contribute to my community,\u201d said the alumni.<\/p>\n

Worth mentioning is that, applicants will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, colour, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.<\/p>\n

The Mandela Washington Fellowship is open to young African leaders who are between the ages of 25 and 35 on or before the application deadline, although exceptional applicants ages 21-24 will be considered.<\/p>\n
