Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Royal Leopard head Coach Edwin Matsebula has not thrown in the towel yet on his quest to conquer the continent.<\/b><\/p>\n

The police side team is currently representing the country in the second-tier of Confederation of African football (CAF) competition, the 2021\/22 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup. The MTN Premier League defending champions are at the bottom of Group B table with zero points, as they have suffered three defeats in three games. They suffered their third defeat in a row at the hands of Libyan side Al-Ittihad by 2-1. They were fresh from a humiliating 6-2 by Orlando Pirates two weeks back at Mbombela Stadium, after they were beaten 2-0 by Algeria\u2019s JS Saoura in the first game of Group B. Head Coach Matsebula said his side still has the chance to qualify for the knockout stage for the first time in their history.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am seeing improvement from the boys in each and every game that we play, but I need to work on our defence as we are conceding soft goals,\u201d Matsebula said. He also said fatigue was getting the better part of his players, due to the number of games the team plays both locally and continentally. The former Vovovo coach said they will have one day to prepare for the MTN Premier League match against Milling Hot Spurs today, before heading back to South Africa to honour the CAF game against Orlando Pirates on Sunday. \u201cThe number of injuries is escalating, which is also a big challenge for us as we prepare for our games,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He also said some of his players were carrying injuries, but the team\u2019s medical officers were assessing them, ahead of the game against Milling Hot Spurs, slated for KaLanga Technical Centre, kick off time is 3pm.<\/p>\n
