Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Centre of Financial Inclusion (CFI) and Eswatini Economic Policy Analysis and Research Centre (ESEPARC) is conducting a blended FinScope Eswatini MSME survey is aimed to assess the nature and scope of MSMEs in Eswatini. <\/b><\/p>\n

The survey is also aimed to identify the most binding constraints to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) development and growth with a focus on access to finance, formalization of the informal sector, compliance to enterprise legislations, infrastructure, business development services, and technology and further propose financial assistance and policy to support small scale enterprises.<\/p>\n

CFI is a semi-autonomous wing of the Ministry of Finance with the delegated mandate through Legal Notice 189 of 2015 to coordinate and monitor the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) for the Kingdom of Eswatini (2017 \u2013 2022). The core objective of the NFIS is to facilitate access and usage to affordable and quality financial services and products, particularly for the low-income segments of the population and MSMEs.<\/p>\n

The CFI as a policy advocacy unit is also mandated to bridge the gaps between the financial policy-makers, the financial regulators, and the financial service providers to ensure that the local financial system can respond to the needs of the underprivileged segments of the population. Another key role of the CFI is to foster appropriate collaboration amongst all the relevant agencies to rationalize the current financial services and products to better support the economic resilience of the local households and enhance the growth and productivity of the MSME sector in particular women and youth.<\/p>\n
