Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Sibongiseni Mjabuliseni Nxumalo only filled five stamps to meet the requirements of the EITF win a car competition, to win a brand new Kia Sonet worth E380 000.<\/b><\/p>\n

Nxumalo (37), who works as a cleaner at the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs under the Meteorology Department in Mbabane, had his name drawn during a draw held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre yesterday. For one to win the competition, he or she had to visit the EITF stands from September 1st to 10th, and gather stamps on their entry form. The entry form had to be dropped into the entry box. Meanwhile, Nxumalo only filled five entry forms for him to win the prize. The car which Nxumalo won was courtesy of Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), with sponsorship from FNB Eswatini and Kia Motors Eswatini, Oracle Insurance and Mitra Energy.<\/p>\n

Present during the draw to ensure that there was transparency were all the stakeholders of the competition, and the names of the entrants were drawn from a transparent container. Soon after the draw, Nxumalo was called and informed that he had won the car. He was asked to verify his identity number, of which he did, and was then further requested to come to the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre in Manzini at the FNB stand today, where the prime minister would officially hand over his brand new wheels.<\/p>\n

Speaking soon after the draw, Tawanda Chivaro, Kia Eswatini Director, expressed his congratulations to the winner. He also appreciated all the partners for the commendable partnership and for making the Trade Fair a resounding success. Wesbank\u2019s Nkosingiphile Mkhonta said it was indeed a successful 2023 Trade Fair. He alluded to that the numbers for this year\u2019s competition had doubled, revealing that a total of 3 027 entrants had participated in the competition. Mkhonta acknowledged his amazing team and their partners Kia for sponsoring the vehicle, Mitra Energy which will fuel the vehicle with two full tanks, as well as Oracle Insurance, wich will provide one year\u2019s full insurance for the vehicle. The winner, Nxumalo, who was at a loss for words and could be heard releasing sighs of relief and shock, said he was grateful for the prize.<\/p>\n

\u201cEver since I was born, I have never entered a competition and won. I hardly earn an income so I also have a side hustle working as a driver for schoolchildren after school. I was planning on purchasing a seven seater vehicle to expand my business,\u201d Nxumalo said. He extended his appreciation to the organisers of the Trade Fair for pulling together such a great initiative.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know that this year\u2019s Trade Fair was about me and I am truly grateful and at a loss for words,\u201d Nxumalo said.<\/p>\n
