Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span> Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane, the President of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) came hard on Chief Mlotjwa of KaLiba under Hosea INkhundla for insulting women.<\/p>\n

Simelane, the then Siphofaneni Member of Parliament(MP) said the sentiments of the Chief were very disturbing and they came at the time when the world was celebrating the International Women’s Day.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo hear a community leader(Chief) saying \u201ckhutani labomakotanyanyana benu! Ngeke siphatfwe bafati laKaLiba,umfati akayophatsa Indvodza yakhe\u201d. Hearing such sentiments at this era just after the International Women\u2019s day broke my heart. This country is in the hands of leaders who are disconnected from reality, who have no respect for human dignity especially towards the mothers of the Nation. How can a leader degrade our mothers in full public view? We have no options, but liberation from this tyrannic regime is the only means of survival,\u201d said the SWALIMO President.<\/p>\n

On another note, Siyabonga Andreas Mthimkhulu who commented online about the matter urged KaLiba men to unite and march to KaLiba Royal Kraal to demand answers from the Chief as to why he insulted their women.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must march to the Chief to demand answers on what he meant by calling our wives \u2018bomakotanyana\u2019. This was an insult to us as men because he meant we married bo-makontanyana,\u201d said the KaLiba resident.<\/p>\n

Addressing residents on Wednesday during a community meeting at KaLiba, the Chief urged senior married women to make sure they called junior married women who regularly attend the protests in Mbabane to order.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoMake labadzala, boMakoti balaKaLiba, khutani labomakotanyana benu, khutani labomakotanyana benu. Yati mine anginendzaba noma kungatsiwa lama-comrades ayeta atongibulala, ngeke ngiwente lutfo, akangibulale vele but lengikukhulumile kuyohlala kukhona enhlitiyweni(meaning:Senior married women here at KaLiba must call to order the junior married women.I am not afraid, even if the comrades can come and kill me, but what I have just said will stand\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The Chief then described the protesting women as tilambi(poor hungry people) who pretended as if they supported MP Bacede yet they wanted his money.<\/p>\n

\u201cNinemanga nikhamisele imali yakhe,nentiwa yindlala(meaning: It\u2019s not like you support him, you want his money, you are hungry\u201d, said the fuming Chief.<\/p>\n
