Matse is an award-winning gospel musician, who has shared stages with the likes of Nduduzo Matse, Jumbo, Bhelekazi, Nothando Dlamini, Sphiwo Ndoni and Linda Dlamini.<\/p>\n

The musician was selected as one of the idol\u2019s backup singers, where he was singing tenor. He shared that the opportunity felt surreal, more like a dream.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was surreal, I really felt great, and I thank God for it. You,\u201d Matse said.<\/p>\n

He went on to share that talent was not the only thing that opened the doors for him; his character did the most.<\/p>\n

\u201cTalent alone is not enough, my character helped me to be part of the ensemble. Treat people with respect and be humble,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Matse also mentioned that this big of an opportunity night opens doors for him because Idols is a huge platform that is accessed by many people who may be looking for his kind of talent.<\/p>\n

He concluded by sharing that the opportunity came as an amazing experience that has left him humbled.<\/p>\n

\u201cIdols are one of the biggest things as far as music and entertainment are concerned in Mzansi and Africa as a whole. So it was humbling and exciting to be called to share my gift on that platform, more so because it is strictly reserved for South Africans,\u201d Matse said.<\/p>\n

Matse works with Sokaya Records and in 2020, he was nominated as the \u2018Best Newcomer\u2019 in the Eswatini Gospel Music Awards.<\/p>\n

He is also the brains behind the songs \u2018Uyikho konkhe empilweni\u2019, \u2018Wahazulwa\u2019, \u2018Wena Nkosi\u2019, \u2018I\u2019m satisfied\u2019, \u2018Kukhon\u2019 igama\u2019, \u2018Nguwe wedvwa\u2019, as well as \u2018Nam\u2019 angazi\u2019.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Idols South Africa Season 19 is currently airing in 2023 and it premiered on July 8, 2023.<\/p>\n

Idols SA Season 19 airs every Saturday on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) at 6 p.m., thereafter on Mzansi Wethu (DStv channel 163) at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

It is the very last season of Idols South Africa after 21 years of airing on South Africa\u2019s television screens.<\/p>\n

On the evening of February 5, 2023, it was announced through a video promo posted on Twitter that Idols South Africa was airing in 2023 for one last season, Season 19.<\/p>\n

In the video clip, it was also revealed that online auditions for Idols SA Season 19 would start on Sunday 12 February 2023. On June 15 2023, ProVerb was in the studio laying down some Idols SA Season 19 farewell promo voice-overs.<\/p>\n

The show was also moved from its usual Sunday slot to Saturday evenings on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) at 6 p.m. and on Mzansi Wethu (DStv channel 163) at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

With two decades of introducing different voices to the world, launching countless careers, and changing judges and big names attached to it, the final season of Idols South Africa was described as the most sensational season.<\/p>\n
