Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>THE Premier League of Eswatini \/ SuperSport TV show project will soon be submitted to cabinet to have it endorsed by government.<\/p>\n

This will be done once the consultation process with several stakeholders has been concluded.<\/p>\n

The project will see broadcasting of weekly TV shows on the South Africa\u2019s pay-per-view channel after the organisation (PLE) signed a contract with international company Media Mora, who has a deal to run shows with SuperSport. PLE will only deal with Media Mora, who will take the video clips and then submit them to SuperSport for the TV show.<\/p>\n

Government will also benefit from this project in a number of ways.
\nA source close to the matter revealed that several stakeholders had been engaged in this project.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe project will be submitted to government for endorsement once proper consultation with several structures has been concluded. Other stakeholders such as tourism and business have been included in the initiative,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Communications Officer Sibongiseni Zondi referred all queries to the Premier League of Eswatini. Meanwhile, PLE Chief Operations Officer Pat Vilakati said they were still working on several aspects of the project.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe project is currently at a documentary stage where several stakeholders are being engaged through various interviews conducted by the producers (Media Mora).<\/p>\n

The generated money will be used as grants for both Premier League and National First Division clubs.
\nThe deal will also benefit the tourism sector as the show will be broadcasted in over 54 countries across the continent and in other continents such as Asia and South America.
\nThe PLE recently suffered huge financial loss on gate collections due to the absence of spectators following the coronavirus outbreak.<\/p>\n

However, the organisation and clubs have been handed a lifeline by government after allowing a minimum of 2 000 vaccinated fans to watch live football in bigger stadiums such as the Somhlolo National Stadium and Mavuso Sports Centre.<\/p>\n
