Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Mbabane Swallows want-away midfielder Banele \u2018Pupu\u2019 Sikhondze has reported the team to the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Status Committee for alleged breach of contract.<\/b><\/p>\n

This comes after the player tendered his resignation letter to the team.<\/p>\n

\u2018Pupu\u2019 has been linked with a move to archrivals Mbabane Highlanders.<\/p>\n

According to reliable sources, Mbabane Swallows allegedly refused with the player\u2019s clearance last week as they argued that he had a contract with them.<\/p>\n

This prompted the player to report the capital city giants to the PSC, citing breach of contract.<\/p>\n

It is said that the team allegedly owed him his signing-on fee amounting to over E80 000.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe player believes that he has a strong case against Swallows. It is now a wait and see situation because Swallows will also state their side of the story,\u201d said the source.<\/p>\n

Swallows Public Relations Officer Knowledge Ngwenya confirmed the matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, it is true that the player has reported us to the PSC. This is what I can say for now,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the veracity of the facts will be tested by the PSC led by Sipho Matse before the end of the week.<\/p>\n

Pupu\u2019 is one of the most decorated players in the country, having won a number of titles with Mbabane Swallows.<\/p>\n

The attacking midfielder has also played in the PSL for Polokwane City and the now defunct Mbombela United in the ABC Motsepe League.<\/p>\n
