Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The 17th edition of the MTN Bushfire international festival of the arts will be held from May 31 until June 2, 2024, at House On Fire in the Kingdom of Eswatini.<\/b><\/p>\n

MTN Bushfire has invited live performers of the highest calibre, who share the festival\u2019s mission to celebrate creative expression while promoting social responsibility and inclusion, to send in their applications via our online application process.<\/p>\n

Artist applications close on October 31, 2023. Application links can be found on the MTN Bushfire website Artists page at www.bush-fire.com, as well as on their MTN Bushfire social media platforms.<\/p>\n

When sharing this information House on Fire Communications Officer Simon Dawson said MTN Bushfire looks for a diversity of musical styles and genres.<\/p>\n

\u201cRooted in Africa and packaged to the world, MTN Bushfire\u2019s line-up has always embraced the eccentric and unearthed the eclectic, featuring a wholesome mix of Pan-African and international artists from across different genres who do more than simply entertain but also use their art as a powerful form of creative advocacy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In addition he said, the festival\u2019s various stages and platforms host a wide range of performances, including live music, DJs, site and roving performances, dance showcases, art exhibitions and installations, theatre, poetry, storytelling, puppetry, film, and much more.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurther opportunities for performances exist in the EU Bushfire Schools Festival, which is held the week preceding the MTN Bushfire festival and supports creative skills and personal growth among students, as well as the family friendly KidZone,\u201d said Dawson.<\/p>\n

Named \u2018Top African festival\u2019 by the BBC, hailed by CNN as one of the \u20187 African music festivals you really have to see\u2019 and winner of the Most Responsible Event Award at the WTM Africa Responsible Tourism Awards in 2017, MTN Bushfire is much more than a music festival.<\/p>\n

With its #BRINGYOURFIRE clarion call to ignite action for positive social and environmental change, MTN Bushfire is deeply involved in a range of social and arts development initiatives.<\/p>\n

\u201cMTN Bushfire sees over 20,000 festival goers during the festival weekend, with attendees from over 55 different countries making the journey to the beautiful Malkerns Valley of Eswatini for an energising and uplifting weekend that celebrates the music and arts of Africa and beyond,\u201d said Dawson in addition.<\/p>\n
