Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Kingdom of Eswatini is conducting secondary elections to elect new Members of Parliament with thousands turning up to polling stations.<\/b><\/p>\n

The morning proceedings started smoothly with young and old showing great excitement as they went to cast their ballots. The different Tinkhundla\u2019s in the country are experiencing different numbers in terms of voter turnout with many anticipating the momentum to pick up as the day progresses.<\/p>\n

Inside the polling stations<\/p>\n

In Kwaluseni, there are no long queues or delays insight. By 7 am, the Eswatini Boundaries Commission (EBC) officials were already assisting people to their different polling stations. There are five polling stations which are divided by the different surnames from A-Z.<\/p>\n

They said this was done to ensure that there were no delays and long queues. The youth seem to be dominating the voters at the moment.<\/p>\n

The outside of the school also has several vendors with alcohol dominating their products. The MP nominees are Sifiso Shongwe, Simelane Simon and Mbingo Celumusa.<\/p>\n

Shongwe took an early lead on the special voting process held at the Mavuso Trade Center on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Nsukumbili polling station experiences overwhelming numbers<\/b><\/p>\n

There was a large turnout in Nsukumbili polling station under the Hhukwini Inkhundla.<\/p>\n

Long queues at the stations<\/p>\n

Evident of that was the extremely long queue of voters eagerly waiting to cast their votes. One EBC official said they arrived at the Nsukumbili polling station at 7 am and there were people already waiting in line to vote.<\/p>\n

The elderly and those living with disabilities were made to skip the queue and vote first.<\/p>\n

Police raid drinking spot<\/b><\/p>\n

A commotion erupted at Nkhanini under Lobamba Inkundla after Police raided a drinking spot situated between Nkhanini and the Community Hall polling Station.<\/p>\n

Mbabane East<\/b><\/p>\n

Mbabane East candidate Sandile \u2018Nkomishi\u2019 Ginindza confronted EBC officials accusing them of being unfair and giving preferential treatment to his competitor Welcome Dlamini<\/p>\n
