This slogan for the 2023 National Elections by the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC), which translates to \u201cI will not be left behind as we build our country\u201d, has once again come to life today as the country casts the final ballot for this year\u2019s elections.<\/p>\n

Polling stations across the nation witnessed dozens of people queueing up and ready to vote as early as 7AM for the secondary elections. The Secondary elections represent the day the country chooses their representative Members of Parliament who will legislate on the country\u2019s policies for the next half a decade.<\/p>\n

Speaking earlier during the week when casting his own ballot, the Prime Minister Sipho Cleopas Dlamini noted that the voting exercise means that people should vote for the candidates that they want because, two years ago, this is what people were calling for \u2013 to vote for who they want and the government they want.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an opportunity for emaSwati to speak for themselves through their votes,\u201d said the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

His Majesty also had the same sentiments, especially directing a message to the youth.<\/p>\n

\u201cYoung people should make sure they participate and vote for men and women who have integrity, are intelligent and who aspire to make the country\u2019s future bright,\u201d urged His Majesty.<\/p>\n

The country indeed has heeded the call, as polling stations in hundreds of communities across the country\u2019s 59 constituencies are overflowing with all kinds of Emaswati to choose their government leaders for the next half a decade of development aspirations.<\/p>\n
