Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The collaboration between Eswatini Red Cross Society and the government have trained 11 dedicated teachers from the Gomiahlaba constituency with mental health training this past Monday.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Eswatini TV the head Nurse Nkosinathi Khumalo, leading the initiative at Sigombeni Clinic, stated the significance of this program. The training aims to equip teachers with skills to provide better care for students within schools and children in their communities. According to Khumalo, mentally prepared teachers are crucial for creating a healthy society, not just within the school premises, but throughout entire communities.<\/p>\n

Health officer Sidumo Lukhele from the Ministry of Health stressed the huge role such programs play in ensuring efficient education.<\/p>\n

One of the participating educators, Sebenzile Mamba from Mhlahlo High School, expressed her commitment to sharing the knowledge acquired with her students. She emphasized the importance of language, citing the World Health Organization\u2019s alarming statistics that link negative communication to mental health issues and suicides among young people aged 15 to 29 worldwide. Mamba underlined that their awareness of the power of positive communication will help protect their students\u2019 mental well-being.<\/p>\n

This action not only signifies a step towards a mentally healthier educational environment but also stands as a beacon of hope, countering the rising global concerns related to mental health among the youth.<\/p>\n
