Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Nomcebo Precious Dlamini is a typical example of that no matter what difficulty you are diagnosed with, believe in yourself and you can reach the stars!<\/b><\/p>\n

There are no obstacles on the way to our dreams, the only obstacle is that imaginary one in our head. Everything is possible, we just have to find a way on how to do it.<\/p>\n

Dlamini has set up herself with sewing and design business called Nomcebo’s Sewing and Design based at Mbabane Sdwashini South.<\/p>\n

She shared that she sews for both genders, which includes dresses, shirts, skirts as well as alternations.<\/p>\n

Her main target, she said, is plus size people like herself since it is at times difficult to find sizes in local shops, whereas plus sized people need to look good and beautiful as well.<\/p>\n

Dlamini said her disability has never been a limit for her to succeed. she shared that having a disability is not an obstacle for success and that the older need to teach the younger generation that having a disability does not mean that they can’t get good grades, can’t go onto college\/university or get their dream job because they can.<\/p>\n

Having a disability can come with its limitations, but doesn\u2019t everything? It\u2019s about how you look beyond them and realise your capabilities.<\/p>\n

Stereotypes, stigmas and people\u2019s attitudes and wrongly perceived ideas may try to throw a person off their path, but this doesn\u2019t mean to say that disabled people can\u2019t achieve. It\u2019s all about embracing how we achieve our goals, we may need adaptions, but this isn\u2019t something to be ashamed of, she said.<\/p>\n

Dlamini added that she is a plus size and each time she would take her material to tailors, but then it would not come out the right way. And that is the reason why started sewing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m a disabled person who can work with both my hands, so regardless of being disable I can do all things. I am also a plus size person and each time I would take my materials to tailors to sew for me it would not come the way I wanted, so that made me study sewing so I can sew for myself\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Speaking about what makes her business run seamlessly, Dlamini said she works from home and the benefits is you have those extra hours to regain control of your personal life.<\/p>\n

Plus, there are no bosses, no dress code, no set work schedule, and no office politics to maneuver. All you need is a personal drive, discipline and good time-management skills.<\/p>\n

Dlamini prides herself in making unique designs, which play a crucial role in creating high-quality and timeless designs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am able to achieve the perfect fit, creating flattering silhouettes, and enhancing the overall quality and durability of garments.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking from home makes me not to travel long distances, which means I am able to meet the deadlines and my work is nice and neat. I’m also good in sewing for any occasions, using african attires and our own lihiya\u201d Dlamini said.<\/p>\n
