This was suggested by the diversity of topics which were discussed by members of the public during the second day of Sibaya at the Ludzidzini Royal Kraal yesterday.<\/p>\n

The diversity of topics raised by Emaswati was as diverse as the people making the submissions, as all regions, ages, and genders were widely represented.<\/p>\n

LaPhenyane from Mpolonjeni, who is a councillor in Manzini, spoke about local governance in terms of the municipalities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to express an appreciation for the support which was given to municipalities. Town Councils are like an extension of Government in that they help in the development of the country. I believe Town Councils can benefit from more Government support,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Terrence from Hhohho spoke about livestock which causes traffic accidents in the borders around Hhohho. He also took his turn on the podium to advocate for people who are trained to work in the dip tanks and other livestock adjacent work.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe request that there be qualifications offered for people who are working in livestock such as dip tank technicians. There is an actual school where they acquire their knowledge, and it would be a good thing for that to be a certified course,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He also made a request which was applauded by many concerning the exams and teachers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe request that the students who have just qualified to be teachers be the ones hired to mark exams. This is because the teachers who get hired are already getting an income as teachers, and it would be a good thing if recently graduated unemployed teachers get that opportunity to make some income,\u201d advocated Terrence.<\/p>\n

Speaker Jabulani Mabuza, former DPM Paul Dlamini, former COMGEN Mzuthini Ntshangase, former NATCOM Isaac Magagula and former Minister David Ngcamphalala were among those who attended the second day of Sibaya at Ludzidzini Royal Residence.<\/p>\n

The Sibaya people\u2019s parliament continues today, as announced by acting Governer, Attorney General Mashampu Khumalo.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe starting time for tomorrow is 9 AM, so we request that the public prepare themselves accordingly,\u201d announced Khumalo at the end of yesterday\u2019s proceedings.<\/p>\n
