In a statement, Government Spokesperson, Alpheous Nxumalo described the incident where the microphone was grabbed from Sibusiso Dlamini, while making his submissions, as unfortunate. \u201cGovernment wishes to assure the nation that the only reason the microphone was grabbed from Dlamini was because the time allocated to him had elapsed and had nothing to do with the contents of his submission,\u201d reads part of the statement.<\/p>\n

In the statement, the government\u2019s spokesperson stated that the nation would note that a number of emaSwati were also looking forward to getting their chance to make submissions, hence the reason why minimal time was allocated to each speaker. Through the statement, government assured the nation that Sibaya remained open to every liSwati and interested individuals, including the international community, as per His Majesty\u2019s proclamation during its opening. \u201cTherefore, all views presented at Sibaya remain valid and worthy consideration,\u201d said Nxumalo. He concluded his statement by encouraging emaSwati to continue flocking to Sibaya to express their honest and genuine feelings about all issues affecting the country.<\/p>\n
