Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>It seems Eswatini top cyclist Muzi Shabangu will not have any rest this month.<\/b><\/p>\n

The former national champion is scheduled to participate in 94.7 cycling race on November 19 in Johannesburg and a few days later, he will compete at the 4Eva Cycling Club\u2019s 2Fast2Furious event. The renowned Virgin Active 94.7 ride is hosted in Johannesburg, South Africa, annually. Starting at FNB Stadium, the iconic route will take one along 97km of thrilling Joburg terrain. They wil cycle past Joburg\u2019s legendary landmarks through streets usually bustling with traffic and enjoy the City\u2019s rich diversity from a radically different vantage point. This incredible venue lies at the heart of Jo\u2019burg, which is the ideal base to explore the sprawling urban and suburban cityscapes.<\/p>\n

The Organising Committee has used selected results manually submitted and selected road results obtained from events between 1 November 2019 and 30 September 2023 for seeding. The prize money stands at E200 000 for first place in the men and elite category, respectively. In addition, the top cyclist will compete at Eswatini cycling race dubbed 2Fast 2Furious. The 4Eva cycling club event will be held on November 25, less than seven days after the 94.7 race. Shabangu confirmed his participation in the lined-up events. \u201cI\u2019m focusing on the two events for this month and hoping that everything will work out well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the cyclist could not race at the Kusekhaya Lowveld Invitational event which took place over the weekend due to an injury. The 2022 MTN Khemani and National Road Champion was the lone liSwati athlete in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Cycling World Championships held in Scotland a few months ago. Shabangu participated in the Men Elite time trial 47.8 km race. Unfortunately, his bicycle had a puncture just over 20km from the starting point. Regardless of all the challenges, he managed to secure position 74, having clocked 1:21:00.22 hours out of 78 competitors.<\/p>\n
