Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>A federal court in the United States of America (USA) refused to re-evaluate the AEnergy electricity company’s case against the Angolan State, concluding that there is no new evidence and that previously presented evidence was not ignored.<\/b><\/p>\n

In June, the US court had already granted Angola’s petition to reject AEnergy’s action, invoking a previous decision by a New York court.<\/p>\n

In the sentence handed down on October 27th, cited today by Lusa, the judge who analyzed Aenergy’s request for revaluation, Trevor McFadden concluded that the court did not ignore any evidence and rejected the company’s remaining arguments.<\/p>\n

The company has been involved in legal litigation with the Angolan State since 2019, when several contracts with the company were terminated due to alleged irregularities, accusations that the company rejects, guaranteeing that it had alerted the Angolan executive and had carried out several projects without receiving payment.<\/p>\n
