The ECOT Hospitality and Tourism Department witnessed the graduation of its pioneering batch of 14 students from the food preparation and culinary arts upskilling programme.<\/p>\n

According to the Taiwan Eswatini post the event had esteemed guests, including Eswatini Chefs Association President Sihle Hlatshwayo, highlighted the industry\u2019s need for skilled professionals. Hlatshwayo emphasized the pivotal role played by culinary experts in delivering exceptional gastronomic experiences to tourists.<\/p>\n

The ceremony, attendees were treated to a delectable array of mouthwatering dishes meticulously prepared by the graduating students. The Mission Chief, present at the event, expressed satisfaction with the students\u2019 culinary prowess, praising the high-quality meals that showcased their outstanding kitchen competencies.<\/p>\n

Students were encouraged to pursue trade testing, enabling them to acquire internationally recognized qualifications. These qualifications have been harmonized with standards within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the TVET Project and the Directorate of Industrial and Vocational Training (DIVT). This initiative aims to equip aspiring culinary professionals with the credentials necessary to excel in the dynamic and competitive hospitality industry.<\/p>\n
