Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>His Majesty King Mswati III continues to show the nation which advice from the Sibaya People\u2019s Parliament, as he has made history yet again by appointing a female Deputy Prime Minister.<\/b><\/p>\n

His Majesty appointed former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as the country\u2019s second female Deputy Prime Minister, as announced on Monday, 14 November 2023. Dladla took her oath of allegiance yesterday, officially assuming her duties as the country\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister in the 12th Parliament.<\/p>\n

His Majesty\u2019s historic appointment came only a couple of weeks after he received the Sibaya People\u2019s Parliament Summary of submissions on the final day of Sibaya, one of which was that Emaswati had repeatedly submitted that His Majesty must consider appointing a woman in the role of Deputy Prime Minister. The Sibaya report was delivered by Sibaya Secretary, Majaha Dlamini.<\/p>\n

Dlamini had also mentioned that the people had advised that His Majesty consider appointing a youthful person in the role of the Prime Minister. His Majesty also proved to have heeded this advice as he appointed the youngest Prime Minister in Eswatini\u2019s history in Russell Mmiso Dlamini, who is well known as a God-loving man.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe nation advised His Majesty to appoint a Prime Minister who is faithful to God and loves the nation,\u201d said the Sibaya Secretary when summarising the public\u2019s submissions to Their Majesties, yet another piece of advice his Majesty seems to have heeded.<\/p>\n

The 12th Parliament of the Kingdom of Eswatini was fully formed yesterday as the entire cabinet, including the Deputy Prime Minister, took their oath of allegiance at the Private and Cabinet Offices in Mbabane.<\/p>\n
