Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span> MBABANE Highlanders goal poacher Sabelo \u2018Sikhali\u2019 Ndzinisa will be stand-in captain in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers match against Somalia today.<\/p>\n

This comes after captain Lindo Mkhonta was suspended by CAF. Ndzinisa will be not new in the leadership role as he is also a skipper at his team, Mbabane Highlanders. Sihlangu will face-off with Somalia today in Der er Salaam with the return match scheduled for Sunday at Mbombela Stadium in South Africa as both nations do not have FIFA standard stadiums.<\/p>\n

Eswatini Football Association Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe confirmed the news.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, \u2018Sikhali\u2019 will captain the national team in the absence of Lindo, who is serving a suspension,\u201d he said. According to a CAF correspondence, the national team skipper will be suspended for one match only following his red card against Senegal in the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers.<\/p>\n

The delegation to Somalia is led by executive committee member Johannes \u2018Ace\u2019 Siboza. Sihlangu is expected back home on Friday.<\/p>\n
