Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>It was another sad day for Moneni Pirates when they blew a two goal lead against Ezulwini United in the MTN Premier League match played at Prince of Wales Sports Ground yesterday.<\/b><\/p>\n

Despite the extreme heat, the game attracted an impressive number of over 100 supporters who came to watch their teams.<\/p>\n

The game started on a very low note with both sides showing a very cautions manner of approach into the game.<\/p>\n

The notable action of the match came through just 20 minutes into the game when Ezulwini United quick striker Thabiso Sithole peeled off the defence, but unfortunately his shot went over the bar.<\/p>\n

Discipline<\/p>\n

Moneni remained disciplined in the match as their backline tried by all means not to concede an early goal.<\/p>\n

It was all Ezulwini in the first half as they came for the Sea Robbers gun blazing in search of an opening goal, forcing Bhekisa Dlamini to make a couple of saves.<\/p>\n

Moneni Pirates\u2019 youthful star Innocent Pakule almost stole the show pulling a screamer from outside the box only to be denied by the wood work.<\/p>\n

That was enough action in the opening stanza forcing the game to take a breather on a goalless draw.<\/p>\n

It was totally a different story altogether in the second half as the Manzini based side came back with a different approach and more rejuvenated making their intentions clear that they wanted all the points at stake.<\/p>\n

Fruitful<\/p>\n

The sea robbers threw everything they had, desperately looking for the goal and their efforts were fruitful in the 53rd minute opening the scoring through Mazwi Sihlongonyane who easily eliminated<\/p>\n

Mpendulo Simelane and pulled off a shot that beat Ezulwini goal minder Siyabonga Magagula.<\/p>\n

The goal was clearly not enough as they continued to press Ezulwini high forcing them to sit back but their defensive line was strong enough to deny them a second goal.<\/p>\n

The Sea Robbers were back yet again in the 61st minute to score their second courtesy of Mayibongwe Malinga who dribbled well to put a screamer past the keeper.<\/p>\n

Sadly their joy was shot lived as Ezulwini found their first goal from a beautiful header by Thabiso Sithole who connected from a well taken corner kick by Mphucuko \u2018Smoothies\u2019 Dlamini. Moneni then lost concentration allowing Ezulwini to take over the game.<\/p>\n

Ezulwini United\u2019s captain fantastic \u2018Smoothies\u2019 was brought down in the box and he stepped up to convert to earn his side a draw.<\/p>\n

That was all in the game with the referee blowing the final whistle ending the game on a 2 – all draw.<\/p>\n

The Ikatbort Masocha-led troops remain winless in the current campaign after 9 games, while hosts, the stinger of Ezulwini failed to record the second win of the season having also played the same number of games.<\/p>\n
