Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) has earmarked eight local companies for different contracts to the tune of over E24.5 million.<\/b><\/p>\n

The intention to award tender notices published in the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) last Friday, indicated that the revenue service intends to award the tenders to locals after competitive bidding process done in terms of Section 45 of the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 (the Act). The contracts are from the different sectors including renewable energy (solar systems), transport, security services, pest control and legal services. Hexing Electrical (Pty) Ltd has been earmarked for the provision of ERS solar system contract, with a proposed contract price of E16 935 659. The company emerged the best evaluated tenderer, beating four South Africans and three local companies. The SA companies could not make it, as they did not obtain qualifying technical score.<\/p>\n

Hygiene<\/b><\/p>\n

For the provision of ERS vehicles, NTT Toyota (Manzini) emerged the best evaluated bidder with a proposed contract price of E6 014 501.36. The company was contesting for the tender along with Mbabane Motors and Motus Toyota (South African). Mbabane Motors did not obtain qualifying technical score, while the SA company failed to submit a number of required documents.<\/p>\n

Blue Hgyiene has been earmarked for the provision of hygiene and pest control services with a proposed contract price of E1 629 397.05. The company emerged the best evaluated tenderer after beating two other local companies in the competitive bidding process. The other contesting companies were NQO Cleaning Services and The Specialist. Meanwhile, Howe Masuku Attorneys and SV Mdladla & Associates emerged the best evaluated tenderers for the external legal representation services.<\/p>\n

During the tendering process for this tender, HN Mdladla Attorneys and TA Simelane did not obtain qualifying technical score. Furthermore, ERS intends to award contracts for the provision of unarmed physical security services to Fidelity Service Group, Intelligence Security Services and Stealth Security Services.<\/p>\n
