Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Eswatini Stock Exchange (ESE) has reported that the local equity market\u2019s capitalisation increased by 4.77 per cent at the end of November to record E4.66 billion.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the ESE month-end report, the exchange\u2019s market capitalisation on a monthly basis increased from E4.45 billion at the end of October 2023 to E4.66 billion at the end of November 2023.<\/p>\n

On a yearly basis, the market capitalisation was reported to have realised a 6.99 per cent gain.<\/p>\n

It is reported to have increase from E4.36 billion in November last year to E4.66 billion at the end of the month under review.<\/p>\n

The exchange indicated that the incline in market capitalisation was attributable to the listing of Nkonyeni Pre-cast Limited (NPC) that commenced trading on November 9.<\/p>\n

The report states that Inala Capital Ltd gained the most on a yearly basis at 7.14 per cent, followed by Greystone Partners Ltd at 6.25 per cent, then Nedbank Eswatini Ltd at 6.23 per cent and finally Swazi Empowerment Limited (SEL) at 2.7 per cent.<\/p>\n

In regard to corporate bonds, the exchange indicated that at the end of November, the total value of corporate bonds stood at E1.6 billion.<\/p>\n

On a monthly basis the total value of corporate bonds value increased by one per cent from to E1.63 billion in October to E1.65 billion at the end of November.<\/p>\n

The exchange attributed the increase to a trade-off between bond values that commenced trading and those that matured.<\/p>\n

When compared to the same period last year, corporate bonds value observed a 0.46 per cent from E1.64 billion in November 2022 to E1.65 billion at the end of November 2023.<\/p>\n

It is further reported that there were five corporate bonds that matured in the month of November to the value of E106 million.<\/p>\n

The total value of government bonds, on the other hand, recorded E6.2 billion at the end of November.<\/p>\n

It is reported that on a monthly basis government bonds remained at E6.2 billion at the end of November while on a yearly basis, a seven per cent increase was observed.<\/p>\n

When compared to the same period last year, government bonds increased from E5.8 billion to E6.2 billion at the end of November 2023.<\/p>\n
