Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>A 47-year-old liSwati was arrested by the South African Police Service (SAPS) for dagga possession, with a street value of E1.4 million in Kimberley, South Africa on Sunday.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the SAPS\u2019s Colonel Cherelle Ehlers, in a press statement, the man allegedly had in his possession dagga weighing 663.35kg. Ehlers said they were conducting crime prevention duties, when a bakkie with a trailer was stopped at a vehicle check point. The colonel stated that the police searched the four large crates which were on the trailer and discovered the dagga consignment.<\/p>\n

\u201cA total of 663.35kg of dagga with an estimated street value of E1.4 million was seized. The bakkie, valued at approximately E400 000 and the trailer valued at approximately E45 000, were also seized,\u201d Ehlers said. Ehlers mentioned that the man will appear in court soon. Frances Baard District Commissioner, Major General Johan Bean, commended the members for their vigilance and zero tolerance approach towards drug-related crimes.<\/p>\n
