Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The fifth edition of The Epic Gig Festival has received an overwhelming response from the artist applications who will get a chance to perform at the festival.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Epic Gig\u2014Episode V opened the application on December 20 last year. This year, the festival will be held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre on June 28\u201330.<\/p>\n

When reached for comment The Epic Gig Festival Director, Tammy Toxik Dlamini, shared with this publication that interested artists are invited to apply to perform at the fifth edition of the festival. He said, \u201cSo far, we have received over 100 applications from artists who are keen on performing at the festival. We have received applications from artists in different genres, but Hip Hop so far is taking the lead.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dlamini went on to say, \u201cThose who haven\u2019t applied yet can send their applications via email to theepicgigsd@gmail.com.<\/b> Applications will close on January 30,\u201d shared Dlamini.<\/p>\n

When asked if this year will be a three-day festival like last year, he said, \u201cYes, this year will still be a three-day festival. The festival will kick off on Friday and last until Sunday. The only difference is that on the third day, which is Sunday, the festival will wrap up in the morning at 10 a.m.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth mentioning that last year, the fourth episode, for the first time since its inception, hosted the festival over a three-day period. In the past, it was overnight until the next morning. It was held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.<\/p>\n

The Epic Gig concept was founded in 2017 by Tammy Toxic Dlamini, who wanted to have a show with a rich line-up that was epic, which has maintained its consistency with a rich lineup for the last four festivals.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s festival saw South African artists like Kwesta, YoungstaCPT, Mlindo the Vocalist, Blxckie Maglera Doe Boi, 25K, A Reece, and Aymos perform. Local artists included Toxik, Rowen The Vth, Fantasy, Tella, Aya City, Sbu The Drum, Sir Teazy, Tilungu, Kangaroo, Itsallblaq, Bay Bash, The Bishops, DJExpo, Bisto, and Eimsofy, and many more, including The Freshmen.<\/p>\n

According to Dlamini, Early Bird tickets are already available online at https:\/\/www.Howler.co.za.<\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth mentioning that the Early Bird tickets are limited. Children who are 10 years old and under enter for free with accompanying parents.<\/p>\n
