Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span> King Mswati\u2019s Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini has warned citizens and revolutionary groups against engaging in acts of violence, no warning was issued to police and soldiers who continue with the shooting of civilians.<\/p>\n

The warning by the Prime Minister comes after Mswati\u2019s police documented a operation order last week and subsequently shot, abducted and assaulted supporters of incarcerated pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube without any provocation.<\/p>\n

The documented operation order exposed by this publication suggests that the police planned to undermine the Constitutional rights of the citizens to protest by dispersing the protestors instead of maintaining law and order.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said it was regrettable that there were people trying to undermine the dialogue process by being involved in criminal acts such as arson, violence and terrorism, the PM did not condemn the ongoing police violence against citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese individuals, supported by subversive foreign entities and revolutionary groups, have waged a campaign of violence against emaSwati with guns, petrol bombs, explosives, and other weapons in order to destabilise the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Violence, intimidation, burning, looting, and terrorism is not consistent with the path to dialogue that the country has chosen and has always embraced. I would like to encourage emaSwati to jealously guard and protect the peace and security that the country has always enjoyed. It must be emphasised that violence will not be tolerated in this process and that all peace-loving emaSwati must shun and condemn those who seek to incite it,\u201d said the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

On another note, the PM spoke about a political dialogue without announcing its date and the release of incarcerated pro-democracy MPs.<\/p>\n
