Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>MBABANE \u2013 The Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo says part of their new strategy is to ensure that government enables the business environment through legislative and policy changes.<\/b><\/p>\n

The minister said in order to achieve that, they seek to operationalise the Citizens Economic Empowerment Act and State Business Relations Programme. Khumalo added that they also seek to fully operationalise the Electronic Business Registry. He said government was also working around establishing the One-Stop border post through Eswatini National Trade Facilitation Programme (NTFC).<\/p>\n

The minister added that part of their strategies was to leverage the embassy network for trade and investment promotion. The ministry seeks to strengthen agro-value chain and this involves increasing export-promotion activities to available markets for agricultural products. The ministry also wants to address the skills gap between industry demands and human capital in the labour market.<\/p>\n
