Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Following a productive week in Uganda for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77 Summits, Prime Minister Russell Dlamini and the Eswatini delegation have set their sights on the upcoming Italy-Africa Summit, carrying the country\u2019s unwavering commitment to South-South cooperation and inclusive development.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Prime Minister\u2019s voice resonated strongly in Kampala, where he advocated for greater collaboration and solidarity amongst developing nations.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the challenges faced by the South, he emphasized the need for joint action programs and policies that address shared aspirations and ensure no one is left behind in the pursuit of progress.<\/p>\n

The Kingdom of Eswatini highlighted the challenges that hinder the nation\u2019s development, including rising income inequalities. The Prime Minister reiterated the need for a supportive financial architecture for all countries, particularly the least developed.<\/p>\n

Additionally, he emphasised the importance of attracting and managing investments for sustainable economic growth and poverty alleviation.<\/p>\n

Eswatini reaffirmed the urgency for global solidarity and international cooperation in addressing development challenges.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister pointed to the need for innovative approaches to greening economies and achieving energy sufficiency as crucial factors for sustainable development.<\/p>\n

Further at the summit, Eswatini emphasised the importance of collaborating on matters of political and international security.<\/p>\n

This includes promoting international law, peaceful conflict resolution, the fight against terrorism, and UN reform, particularly the reform of the Security Council.<\/p>\n

Beyond Prime Minister Dlamini\u2019s efforts, the Uganda summits also provided Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Pholile Shakantu with an invaluable platform to advance Eswatini\u2019s diplomatic and international relations.<\/p>\n

Minister Shakantu held fruitful meetings with key figures, including the Philippines\u2019 Minister of Information and Communications Technology Ivan John Enrile Uy and Cuba\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodri\u0301guez Parrilla, strengthening bilateral ties and exploring avenues for future cooperation.<\/p>\n
