Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The desperation by the Taiwan Province to maintain diplomatic relations with eSwatini amid tension with the People\u2019s Republic of China(PRC) is now undermining our Sovereignty.<\/b><\/p>\n On Thursday,Taiwan Ambassador Jeremy Liang is alleged to have unleashed armed police officers to arrest Chinese nationals working at Mpakeni Dam on allegations suggesting that,they \u201care in the country illegally or without work permits\u201d.<\/p>\n But without questioning or interfering with the role and duties of the law enforcement agency, it is very disturbing to note that Taiwan,after donating rice to the poor emaSwati, is now interfering in our political and economic affairs.<\/p>\n Taiwan Ambassador Jeremy Liang is very sensitive and hostile to anyone who visits China and as a result, he rushed to the eSwatini Observer to speak a lot of nonsense after political activists from Sive Siyinqaba,the Swaziland Democratic Party(SWADEPA) and the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) visited China.<\/p>\n Now, we are seeing Chinese nationals being harassed and again, the name of the Taiwan Ambassador is featuring prominently.<\/p>\n The R3.5billion Mpakeni Dam that was awarded to a Chinese company is giving the Taiwan Ambassador a political headache, he doesn\u2019t understand how this came into being and that, the company won the tender at international level.<\/p>\n Ambassador Liang must just leave our country alone, we are not a Taiwan colony and his country is not recognized by the United Nations(UN) in terms of Resolution 2758, Taiwan is just a Chinese Province.<\/p>\n Taiwan will eventually be kicked-out of this country and diplomatic relations with China will be established to enhance economic development, our Sovereignty cannot be reduced to rice or charity projects.<\/p>\n But Ambassador Liang must understand that, once eSwatini established diplomatic relations with the People\u2019s Republic of China(PRC), that will include Taiwan as its Province.<\/p>\n Source: swazilandnews<\/b><\/p>\n For More News And Analysis About Eswatini<\/a> Follow Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Zweli Martin Dlamini Africa-Press – Eswatini.
