Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Petrol attendants are known for having it hard in their places of work and the situation was the same during Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini\u2019s time.<\/b><\/p>\n

Dlamini, according to a speech he delivered today during the Global Leadership Summit, petrol attendants had it hard during his time. Dlamini\u2019s first job was that of being a petrol attendant at Rob\u2019s Filling Station in Matsapha. That was in 1992 when he had finished his high school education.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy first job after high school was a petrol attendant at Robs Filling Station in Matsapha, and I am proud to have worked as a petrol attendant and hope that many young people can be inspired that your beginning does not and should determine your end,\u201d Dlamini said.<\/p>\n

He saw himself as someone who was lucky to have worked there at the nascent stage of his adult life, for it was during this period where he came in touch with the realities of life.<\/p>\n

He said he saw men and women who were permanently working at a gas station to support their families and struggling to make ends meet. The PM stated that he used the money I earned to prepare for university life.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was barely enough to meet my needs as a young and single ambitious man and I always wondered how my fellow work mates survived with their wives and children on that salary,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He narrated that his encounter with the realities of life fueled his will to get to University and acquire a degree.<\/p>\n

He said he was grateful to his late father for teaching his family and inculcating the culture of hard work. He was also grateful to his mother for leading him to Christ, for his entire life has been characterized by his faith in Christ and hard work. God has been the source of strength in all his endeavors.<\/p>\n
