Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Over 15 artists performed on Saturday during the One Billion Rising Festival on ending violence in Manzini.<\/b><\/p>\n

The artists were Nomalungelo Dladla, Sands, Nothando, Velemseni, DJ Mixmash, Bishop Gcina Masuku, Lution, Bishop Motsa, The Silent Writer, KrTC, Hosea\u2019s Heart Girls, Emhlangani Girls Club, culture groups and many more.<\/p>\n

The event, which started in the morning, was a wonderful showcase for the public that came in numbers. Held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, the event showcased inspiring talent from singers, dancers to poets. Entertainment for children was also available in jumping castles to swing merry go rounds and more.<\/p>\n

The entertainment started with gospel music from Nothando to other Zion gospel groups.<\/p>\n

More artists then joined the event aimed at ending gender-based violence (GBV). The MCs gave artists only 10 minutes to showcase their talents to the masses.<\/p>\n

DJ Ghale, who entertained with Wandile Gamedze, livened up the show with their display followed by a young group known as Hosea\u2019s Heart whose members were clad in black and red outfits.<\/p>\n

They were followed by a group of singing sensations known as Summer Camp Sukuma.<\/p>\n

Hip-hop artist Lution did the most, even getting the crowd involved as he performed, occasionally interacting with the public.<\/p>\n

His Sukuma song was enjoyed by the crowd. Lution featured Kena in his song, also revealing that the song was from an upcoming project to be released next month.<\/p>\n

Gospel artist Nothando Dlamini wowed the crowd and danced with them during her performance.<\/p>\n

They sang along and showed off some traditional dance moves.<\/p>\n

Mixmash rescued the event as Velemseni who was up next experienced challenges with her guitar. Mixmash got the crowd going, even coming up to the front of the stage to dance to songs from legends such as Brenda Fassie.<\/p>\n

Ngud from Kwesta was also popular with fun-lovers who sang along. Eswatini\u2019s cre\u0300me de la cre\u0300me artists Velemseni, Nomalungelo Dlaldla and Sands thrilled the crowd. Poet Silent Writer ended the event with a heartfelt message on the reasoning behind the event.<\/p>\n
