Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has announced 30 scholarships from the Republic of India.<\/b><\/p>\n

The scholarships were announced by Ministry of Labour and Social Security Principal Secretary (PS) Makhosini Mndawe, who issued a statement sent to this publication. The scholarships are under what is known as the India-Maitri Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2024\/25.<\/p>\n

These scholarships are for Emaswati who are interested in pursuing studies towards Undergraduate, Master\u2019s, and PhD qualifications in Indian Universities. The eligibility for the scholarship is as follows:<\/p>\n

Should be Liswati (provide proof of nationality).<\/p>\n

Applicants must have completed high school education (provide copy of high school leaving certificate).<\/p>\n

Master\u2019s and PhD applicants to provide highest level diploma\/academic transcripts.<\/p>\n

Applicants should be between 18 and 40 years for Undergraduate and Post Graduate and for PhD, the age limit is 50.<\/p>\n

Applicants have the option to apply to five Indian Universities.<\/p>\n

A 500-word essay in English is mandatory to ascertain English proficiency or Tofel\/Elts.<\/p>\n

Awarded or rejected candidates will be notified by May 31, 2024.<\/p>\n

The scholarships will cover the following:<\/p>\n

Tuition paid for by ICCR directly to the University.<\/p>\n

A monthly stipend\/allowance.<\/p>\n

Direct round trip economy class ticket.<\/p>\n

All ICCR scholarship students will have to obtain medical insurance coverage on their own at an approximate cost of E900 per annum before they travel to India.
