Linac Investments runs the OK Foods stores in Eswatini. In his presentation, Motsa said as a company they were on a journey of embracing digitalisation. He said they have partnered with MTN Eswatini and integrated their mobile money platform at their stores as a payment option, promoting financial inclusion and ease of payments. He said the widespread acceptance of this platform in the country has enabled people to save and make cashless payments conveniently. “At our stores, we facilitate transactions through MoMo Pay, aligning with the digital transformation trend in the retail sector and overall economy,” said the MD.

Motsa added that they were seeing a lot of growth in that payment space, and they were excited to keep growing that partnership. “We understand MTN Group Fintech has partnered with Mastercard and have recently launched a virtual card backed by Mastercard,” he said. He mentioned that they were expecting that the aforementioned partnership would improve the customer experience in terms of payments, reducing wait times and authentication procedures, while also improving security around payments. He said a lot of their customers in the lower LSM segment would benefit a lot from this digital and secure payment platform, growing the partnership that we currently have with MTN Fintech’s Mobile Money even more. He added that as part of their digital transformation, they have subscribed to Microsoft suite through MTN, their email servers hosted through MTN, upgraded their internet connectivity across their stores to improve customer service via MTN Dedicated Internet Access services.

He mentioned that they also have a lot of projects in the pipeline that they have planned to enhance their customer offering across all their customer contact points and improve efficiency in their operations. Motsa said part of those projects includes reducing the amount of paper used across the business to do their part in protecting the environment. He said all these initiatives were future-focused, seeking to build customer-centered resilience for the future. He also highlighted that MTN Fintech Mobile Money has been a leading force in driving financial inclusivity, bringing the unbanked community to the digital age of banking, allowing them to transact digitally. “At Linac, we are committed to building a fit-for-purpose organization that is resilient and adaptable to the digital future of Eswatini. We also encourage all other retailers to follow suit, to build sustainable organizations of the future,” he said.

For More News And Analysis About Eswatini Follow Africa-Press

Africa-Press – Eswatini.
