Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Ernest Mkhonta,the Managing Director(MD) of the Eswatini Electricity Company(EEC) says, the public enterprise will focus more on domestic production to reduce the country\u2019s dependence on imported energy.<\/b><\/p>\n

Addressing journalists on Thursday ahead of the 16th March 2024 Earth Hour launch, the Managing Director said,the company was working on various projects on energy sustainability.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have explored the hydro-potential in Maguga and we are currently in the process of developing EEC documents to invite those interested in engineering and procurement of or rather engineering and procurement of the construction of a power supply in the country\u201d, said the Electricity Company Managing Director.<\/p>\n
