{"id":46010,"date":"2024-03-20T18:53:34","date_gmt":"2024-03-20T18:53:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/eswatini\/all-news\/king-praised-for-embracing-sa-traditional-leaders"},"modified":"2024-03-20T19:25:00","modified_gmt":"2024-03-20T19:25:00","slug":"king-praised-for-embracing-sa-traditional-leaders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/eswatini\/all-news\/king-praised-for-embracing-sa-traditional-leaders","title":{"rendered":"KING PRAISED FOR EMBRACING SA  TRADITIONAL LEADERS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span><b>Mpumalanga House of Traditional Leaders (MPHTL) have appreciated Their Majesties for welcoming and embracing them as traditional leaders.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ogenyaneni Traditional Council Inkosi Themba Yende, who is also Deputy President of the association said they were happy with how His Majesty King Mswati III embraced all of them, including those who were not directly linked to Eswatini.<\/p>\n<p>He was speaking during the KaHhoyi Traditional Council Ummemo held at KaHhoyi in Mpumalanga, South Africa over the weekend, where His Majesty was represented by Border Restoration Committee Chairman Prince David.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders<\/p>\n<p>Yende said His Majesty, through the Border Restoration Committee (BRC), always extended invitations to him and other leaders to attend national cultural events, including the recently ended Buganu Festival.<\/p>\n<p>He said this was an indication that the King valued and held them in high esteem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe greatly appreciate Their Majesties for inviting us to these event means a lot to us. We also urge KaHhoyi people to respect their traditional leader,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Congress of the Traditional Leaders of South Africa (CONTRALESA) Deputy President Kgoshi Nyalala Pilane shared the same sentiments, stating that they were proud to have a member of Inkosi Hhoyi II\u2019s calibre, as he not only loves culture, but was also able to convene a big number of people, different tribes and the business sector through cultural and traditional practises.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to see someone who represents the institution of traditional leaders like Inkosi Hhoyi II.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis kind of gathering plays a huge role in helping the future generation to hold on to their culture and traditions as Emaswati, regardless of the border boundaries,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Nkomazi Local Municipality Executive Mayor Phindile Magagula appreciated the sharing of culture.
