Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) has revealed the name of artists who will perform at this year\u2019s Earth Hour event which will be held at House on Fire on Saturday.<\/b><\/p>\n

The scheduled time is 5pm until late. The artists who will be part of the celebrations are Judah, Mvelo, Qibho Intalektual, and the Bishops. This was confirmed by EEC Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager Khaya Mavuso.<\/p>\n

EEC and partners will be commemorating Earth Hour on March 23. Entry is free. Those who would like to attend need to download their ticket from the platforms on the poster and bring it to gain access to the venue. The first 800 people will receive goodies.<\/p>\n

The Earth Hour will begin at 8:30pm to 9:30pm. Earth Hour is a moment of unity that brings the world together and shines a spotlight on the climate and nature.<\/p>\n

According to Google, last year, over 410 000 hours were given to our planet in over 190 countries and territories. This is done to manage the climate and nature crises faced by humanity. The Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).<\/p>\n

The event is held annually, encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to give an hour for the earth. It is also marked by landmarks and businesses switching off non-electric lights for an hour from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. It is usually held on the last Saturday of March as a symbol of commitment to the planet.<\/p>\n

It was started as a switch-off event in Sydney, Australia, in 2007 as an initiative to encourage individuals, businesses, and governments around the world to take accountability for their ecological footprint.<\/p>\n
