Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Over 65 000 tourists have been able to visit Eswatini last month.<\/b><\/p>\n

This is according to the February 24 Monthly Tourism Statistical Release produced by Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA).<\/p>\n

According to the report, 65 900 tourists arrived in the country, with an aim of visiting Eswatini. The 65 900 represents an increase of 38 percent, compared to the same month last year.<\/p>\n

The tourists came from African countries such as South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Kenya. Tourists from overseas came from countries such as France, Netherlands, Germany, and Italy. Three countries have been identified by the report as being the top three regional markets.<\/p>\n

They include South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. Tourists from South Africa were 40 467, representing an increase of 28 percent, when compared with the same month last year. Tourists from Mozambique were 12 385, representing an increase of 89.5 percent, compared with the same month last year.<\/p>\n

Tourists from Zimbabwe were 3 389, representing an increase of 59.6 percent, compared with the same month last year. Among countries from the top three overseas markets include France, Netherlands, and Germany. Tourists from France were 851, representing an increase of 4.6 percent, when compared with the same month last year.<\/p>\n

Eswatini received 846 tourists from Netherlands, representing an increase of 49.8 percent, while there were 716 tourists from Germany, representing an increase of 20.5 percent, when compared with the same time last year. Countries such as Italy, Tanzania, and Kenya have been identified as the top three emerging markets for Eswatini\u2019s tourism industry. The monthly average length of stay for the tourists during February was 2.1 nights.<\/p>\n
