Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>An amount of E10 665 was raised during the Easter Sunday Service held at Somhlolo National Stadium.<\/b><\/p>\n

The service was held yesterday (Sunday, March 31, 2024) and the amount was raised in form of offerings by the brethren who had attended the service. The service was meant to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

League of African Churches President Bishop Samson Hlatjwako, who was the programme director, announced the offerings before Their Majesties, who had also attended the service.<\/p>\n

The brethren offered E12 300 on Friday (March 29, 2024) when they commemorated the death of Jesus Christ at the premises of the Lobamba National Church. The women also offered E153 717 when they met Her Majesty the Indlovukazi on Saturday (March 30, 2024).<\/p>\n

The Easter Sunday Serviced was well attended by brethren from all the corners of the country. The brethren were from the different uniformed churches of the country.<\/p>\n

Some of the brethren came from beyond the country\u2019s borders to attend the service. The attendance at Somhlolo Stadium could be estimated to be at 5 000.<\/p>\n

Members of different Zionist Churches, the Red Gown Sect (Jericho Churches), and the members of the Methodist Churches (particularly the Gwamile Apostolic Faith Church) attended the service. Members of the Nazareth Baptist Church (commonly known as Shembe) were also in attendance.<\/p>\n

They were sitting right on the soccer pitch (ground) of the stadium. They are used to sitting on the ground whenever they attend church services. They are the only ones who sat there, while others were sitting on the grandstands and on the Section of the stadium, famously known as the \u2018no man\u2019s land.\u2019<\/p>\n

While the service was ongoing, some members of the Red Gown Sect were in high spirits behind the \u2018no man\u2019s land.\u2019 The members were doing their The members were doing their dances and were speaking in tongues whose meaning could hardly be deduced.<\/p>\n

Their acts caught the attention of some of the attendants of the service. They had to momentarily stop focusing on the main service to look at what these brethren were doing.<\/p>\n

The event started at around 1pm, after Their Majesties and other members of the Royal family had arrived. The event ended at around 5pm, with the brethren expressing happiness to have been part of the event.<\/p>\n
