Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Eswatini Epilepsy Organisation (EEO) will host a family fun day on Saturday at the Manzini Club.<\/b><\/p>\n

The fun day will kick off at 9am with a march from Somhlolo Park to Manzini Club with Hyena Motorbike Club and the public.<\/p>\n

According to the organisers, the fun day will have various speakers, including Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Thulisile Dladla, who will be the keynote speaker. Other speakers to make submissions will include One Billion Rising Campaign Africa Regional Coordinator Colani Hlatjwako, EEO Director \u2013 Operations Abraham Ntshalintshali, Country Coordination Mechanism (CCM) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Advocate Dlamini, Senator Princess Ntfombiyenkosi Dlamini, who is also the Senate Health Portforlio Committee Chairperson, and Sindiso Bhembe, a psychiatric nurse at the National Psychiatric Referral Hospital.<\/p>\n

The MCs of the fun day will be renowned Radio Personality Siphesihle Nxumalo, commonly known as Sihlabani Sebenguni and Sindiso Bhembe. This was confirmed by Mandisa Lukhele, who is one of the organisers.<\/p>\n

The event will see performances by Judah, Mlingani, the Poet, DJ Simie D, DJ Mixza, and many more. There will also be kids games like jumping castles, trampolines, a Ferris wheel, a water slide, quad bikes, horseback rides, face painting, arts and crafts, and more.<\/p>\n

EEO is a non-profit organisation with a mandate to develop and promote interventions for the effective diagnosis, treatment, care, and social integration of persons afflicted and affected by epilepsy and related conditions. Because of the vulnerabilities imposed by their condition, people with epilepsy (PWE) face discrimination and physical, psychological, and sexual abuse in their families, communities, learning institutions, and places of employment.<\/p>\n

As we celebrate Mother\u2019s Day this year, EEO invites the public, public sector entities, civil society organisations, and corporate entities to come together in advocating for the end of abuse faced by all minority and marginalised populations in an environment offering leisure and fun for the entire family, under the theme, \u2018Making Eswatini safer and more inclusive for persons with epilepsy and other neurological disorders and disabilities.\u2019<\/p>\n
