Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>King Mswati\u2019s police officer was on Tuesday heavily assaulted by protestors at the Oshoek border blockade organized by the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF).<\/b><\/p>\n

The protestors invaded eSwatini from the South African side in protest against Mswati\u2019s dictatorship only to find the officer along the way to the Immigration Offices.<\/p>\n

The officer who is employed by the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPs) whose officers allegedly killed dozens of civilians tried to flee after the protestors began assaulting her but it was already too late.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments, Nandipha Dlamini of the United Eswatini Diaspora (UED) who was part of the protest said the police officer was assaulted after she was spotted taking pictures of the Swazi protestors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were two males and one female officer who were taking pictures of the Swazi protestors. Swazis took it personally because they understood that these police officers were taking their pictures so that they could be victimized when trying to go back home.Imagine you are protesting in another country because of the very same police officers who are brutalizing you and then you see them taking your pictures?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Phindile Vilakati, the eSwatini police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

About two thousand(2000) South Africans and Swazis participated in border blockades on Tuesday in demand for democracy in eSwatini.<\/p>\n

This comes after Julius Malema, the Commander-in-Chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) said they would conduct blockades in major border gates between eSwatini and South Africa as a birthday present for King Mswati.<\/p>\n

Other organizations that participated in the border blockades at Oshoek and Lavumisa among others include the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO), the United Eswatini Diaspora(UED), the Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) and the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) among others.<\/p>\n

King Mswati rules eSwatini as an absolute Monarch with Executive, Judicial and Legislative powers, civilians are assaulted and killed merely for protesting in demand for democratic reforms.<\/p>\n
