Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>King Mswati has urged the Central Bank of Eswatini(CBE) to ensure that,the country\u2019s financial system is protected from cyber criminals who might compromise the confidentiality of users, Government online platforms reported on Saturday morning.<\/b><\/p>\n

The King was speaking during the celebration of the Central Bank\u2019s Golden Jubilee in Ezulwini and during the event, he managed to cut the sod for the construction of the Central Bank Headquarters.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is also imperative that we safeguard our banking system to build confidence in potential investors and trade partners.We urge the Central Bank of Eswatini to ensure that the country\u2019s financial systems are protected from external elements and cybercrime that could compromise the confidence and confidentiality of end users.We also urge the bank to continue working closely with international multilateral institutions to strengthen our capacity and enhance institutional capabilities in providing financial advice to help the country implement effective economic strategies.We also encourage the bank to work towards establishing an independent banking system for the country that has its own switch facility. These initiatives will bring more opportunities for the public and private sectors, including the ordinary emaSwati as we increase our monetary movement in all spheres,\u201d said the King.<\/p>\n
