Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Health has announced that a majority of the cancer drugs listed as out of stock are available and some were received last week.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the drugs are being dispatched to the health facilities on an ongoing basis. The received drugs include 5FU, Paclitaxel, Bleomycin, Doxorubicin, Ondansentron and Zometa. Additional cancer drugs to be delivered during the month of June include Tamoxifen, Cyclophosphamide, Bisacodyl and Morphine injection.<\/p>\n

The statement also highlights that in recent months, suppliers have cooperated well with the Ministry in expediting deliveries of a wide range of drugs and medical supplies in the country.<\/p>\n

On another note, the ministry has notified the nation that the drugs shortage situation remained a challenge. However, there was steady progress, as some deliveries were continuing.<\/p>\n

The Ministry anticipates that if the momentum, in terms of delivery of medical drugs and supplies, continues at the current pace, the situation will improve significantly during this fiscal year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would like to request for continued patience from Emaswati as we work tirelessly to resolve the crisis relating to medical drugs shortages. The public will be informed of further developments in this regard,\u201d said part of the statement.<\/p>\n
