Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>British High Commissioner to Eswatini Simon Boyden launched a mental health booklet at Ezulwini to help all those facing different mental illnesses.<\/b><\/p>\n

The booklet was launched yesterday (May 14, 2024). The booklet was launched to raise awareness on mental health in the country. Boyden launched the booklet, working with different companies such as Phumelela project and Yebo Art Gallery.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the launch, the high commissioner pleaded with members of the public to work together to challenge this problem. \u201cWe need to create space for people to recognize that each and every one of us suffers a range of challenges and it is not shameful and there should be no stigma,\u201d said Boyden. He emphasized that mental health is an issue that we should all work together on.<\/p>\n

Alleta Armstrong from Art Gallery said most mental health issues stemmed from work and the country had no mental health policy in place and a lack of resources to deal with the current struggles being faced by everyone. Armstrong said the government needed to urgently address this and put a policy in place. Among those who also attended was, Lukhwezi Dlamini who works with children. She expressed her happiness with the booklet and said it is very important to kids as it was the most important aspect of their growth.<\/p>\n
