Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>In a bid to ensure equitable economic growth, Minister for Natural Resources and Energy HRH Prince Lonkhokhela has urged Emaswati to devise innovative financing mechanisms for energy projects.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Minister said this today (May 15, 2024) during the Eswatini Energy Indaba, hosted by Standard Bank Eswatini at Happy Valley. Prince Lonkhokhela emphasised the importance of innovative financing mechanisms for energy projects. He expressed his belief that these strategies were essential in driving equitable economic growth.<\/p>\n

He stressed the Ministry\u2019s responsibility to provide reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy access for all citizens. He acknowledged that high tariffs limited affordability and urged the development of innovative financing mechanisms for energy projects to promote equitable economic growth.<\/p>\n

The Minister emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships, stating that Eswatini\u2019s energy independence and security relied on the implementation of creative financial instruments within the sector.<\/p>\n

The Minister extended his appreciation on behalf of Government to the organisers for facilitating the event. He acknowledged the significance of the theme, \u2018Enabling Energy Security in Eswatini,\u2019 and emphasised the importance of innovative financing mechanisms to foster public-private partnerships in the sector.<\/p>\n
