Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Eswatini has been rated among top African countries with best quality roads.<\/b><\/p>\n

Stastita and other research platforms rated eSwatini among top twenty(20) countries in African continent with quality roads, with South Africa and Namibia among the top ten(10).<\/p>\n

But despite the significant improvements including the completion of the Gege-Sicunusa road, the Manzini-Mbadlana road that connects the King Mswati International Airport, the country is still struggling with poorly maintained roads in the rural areas.<\/p>\n

The newly completed Gege-Sinucusa road services three boarder posts that include Sicunusa, Mahamba and Gege.<\/p>\n

It seems the construction of roads forms part of the Government development agenda as the Ministry of Public Works and Transport recently released a statement, informing the Nation about the commencement of the construction of the Siphofaneni-Sithobelweni road<\/p>\n

Neal Rijikernberg,the Minister of Finance subsequently announced a R50million budget for construction damaged road and this, comes two(2)months after Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe,the Minister of Public Works and Transport toured the road and promised that Government will rehabilitate it.<\/p>\n

The road that will also cover Siphambanweni,Maloma and Nsalitje,has been included in the budget and described as \u201cMR21\u201d<\/p>\n

A resident of Sithobelweni confirmed on Sunday that,the construction team has already arrived and commenced preparations within the area,to construct the road.<\/p>\n

Eswatini has the Mbabane-Manzini highway that also connects with the Oshoek boarder in the north-western part of the country.<\/p>\n

Construction companies in eSwatini include Inyatsi Construction Group, The Mbhilibhi Group, Afrotim Construction, Dan and Don Construction, BSA Group of Companies, AG Thomas, Du-Van Developers and Steffanutti Stocks among others.<\/p>\n
