Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Members of the Nazareth Baptist Church and the general public scrambled for blessings as the leader of the church, His Holiness Unyazi Lwezulu, arrived in the country yesterday.<\/b><\/p>\n

The leader of the church arrived in the country at around 10am, through Mahamba Border Gate. Members of the church and the general public, who eagerly awaited the arrival of the African Messiah, as they refer to him, enveloped his motor vehicle when he entered the border gate. Unyazi Lwezulu parked the motor vehicle and released the blessings through the car window.<\/p>\n

Majority<\/b><\/p>\n

A majority of the church members handed over pure water for blessings, some handed over petroleum jelly and sunlight soap. Unyazi Lwezulu took some time to pray for the members\u2019 items. Some people scrambled to make offerings in appreciation for the arrival of the Shembe leader. From Mahamba, Unyazi Lwezulu proceeded to the headquarters of the church, known as Esabelweni at Bethany, Mahlanya. His motorcade had 30 cars and a couple of buses transporting the church members from South Africa. The members of the church, who had been at the church since 3am, rushed to position themselves next to the road when they saw Shembe\u2019s convoy at Lozitha.<\/p>\n

The church members welcomed their leader with the shout of \u2018Hallelujah, uyingcwele\u2019 while waving palm tree leaves. Some members of the church knelt from a distance to give way to those who escorted the convoy to the headquarters. The escorts included members of the church, who were clad in traditional attire. The church members danced slowly to the beat of the songs and trumpets until they reached their final destination. Upon arrival at his house, Unyazi Lwezulu alighted from his motor vehicle and went straight to the house. At the time, members of the church were singing aloud outside. Some were heard praying \u2018aw, nkosiyami Shembe siyabonga kufika kwakho nkosi yaseZulwini\u2019.<\/p>\n

Returned<\/b><\/p>\n

Unyazi Lwezulu then returned to the congregation and blessed them through the word of mouth, saying \u2018God bless you (Inkosi inibusise)\u2019. The members of the church responded with a loud \u2018Amen, uyingcwele.\u2019 The leader of the church returned to the house immediately after blessing the congregation. Elders of the church shared that Unyazi Lwezulu would assess the situation and report his presence to the country\u2019s ancestors, so that he could be in a position to release blessings during the course of the two-week service. The elders also shared that the programme would be announced and issued upon instruction. \u201cWe are so happy to have Unyazi Lwezulu back in the country. We are hoping that whatever troubled us would be a thing of the past,\u201d said some of those found at Esabelweni.<\/p>\n
