Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>In a noteworthy investment of E400 million, the European Union has embarked on an initiative to up skill the business community in Eswatini, providing vocational training to unemployed graduates.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Federation of Eswatini Business Community (FESBC) Head of Business Transformation Mavela Sigwane, the initiative was a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Labour and Social Security and Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade.<\/p>\n

Sigwane said the unemployment in the country was a pressing issue especially among tertiary graduates. FESBC developed this program to transform these students into potential job creators, equipping them with the skills and mindset necessary to become successful entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

Sigwane, addressing the Eswatini TV market view, he emphasized that the program\u2019s ultimate goal was to convert all graduates into job creators, reaching a target of 100%. He shared that the initiative would span over a period of seven years, with a possibility for extension depending on the EU\u2019s satisfaction with the outcome.<\/p>\n

Sigwane confirmed that the team was currently in the process of finalizing the logistics for identification of eligible graduates, and the program was slated to commence next month (July).<\/p>\n

This timely intervention by the FESBC is backed by EU funding that offers hope for a brighter future for Eswatini\u2019s unemployed graduates as they embark on the path of entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
