Although not far reaching in the light of the Circular 3\/2018 freezing promotions and filling of vacant positions, it has pleased the National Commissioner of Police to announce advancement in the tactical and operational levels of the organization. The promotions which are from the rank of Constable up to the rank of Assistant Superintendent are with effect from 01st April 2022,\u201d reads the memo released by the National Commissioner.<\/p>\n<p>Efforts to reach the National Commissioner for a comment proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n<p>A police officer who was not among the list of those promoted said she was happy to see officers who joined the organization over twenty years ago being considered for promotions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not among those promoted but I am happy with the list, it is dominated by officers who served the organization for over twenty(20) years and we know that some of them are working and deserved the promotions.
