Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Delta Ndou, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the newly established Financial Times says the newspaper will uphold journalism ethics, accuracy and fairness.<\/b><\/p>\n

Rubicon Africa Media Group has established a newspaper, the Financial Times and other sister publications, the Eswatini Daily News and the Eswatini Sunday Times.<\/p>\n

Responding to a questionnaire on Monday, the CEO described Rubicon Africa Media Group (Rubicon Group) as an Africa-based, Pan-African entity set up to innovate the media landscape on the continent and that it will have a presence in several African countries apart from Eswatini.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Rubicon Group champions empowering forms of journalism in the digital era, by promoting content that is factual, contextually-relevant, balanced, informative, issue-driven, fact-checked, source-checked and solutions-oriented. The needs of the different markets we access are what determine and differentiate what our media entities will report on and how,\u201d said the CEO.<\/p>\n

The CEO said in eSwatini, the company entrusted Alec Lushaba with the position of Managing editor.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Eswatini, managing editor Alec Lushaba and his team have been entrusted with upholding ethical and responsible journalism that is anchored on accuracy, truth and fairness in reporting. The Rubicon Board and I are confident that the Eswatini team are equal to the task,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

On another note, Nqaba Mtshazi, the Regional Campaigns Coordinator of the Media Institute for Southern Africa(MISA) said as an organization that promotes media pluralism and diversity, they welcome the establishment of the newspaper.<\/p>\n
